Jesus talks about money - your church can too!

How can I help your church?

  • Church Speaking Engagements

I’ve been a Mennonite pastor and have worked with churches from a variety of denominations. I’m uniquely gifted to help churches talk about money: I have a Math degree, a theology degree and a ministry degree.

When I meet with a church leadership team, I get comments like “Lori knows her stuff” and “she knows what she’s talking about.”

Invite me to meet with your church leadership team - virtually or in person - and we can talk about how I can help your congregation integrate faith and giving.

  • Generosity Assessments for Churches

Here’s a recent article from Hilborn Charity e-News about Generosity Assessments, including a lovely testimonial from a Presbyterian elder. This article was reprinted in Presbyterian Connection, Summer 2023. (I have worked with various denominations, I myself am Mennonite.)

    Have you ever wondered:

    • if giving at your church is ‘normal’?

    • what types of people are steady givers?

    • how younger givers become mature givers?

A Generosity Assessment looks at church giving numbers, asks two easy (and anonymous) questions of congregants and then paints a picture of the giving landscape at your church.

The results generate a lot of discussion and suggest practical next steps in cultivating generosity.

Christians give in grateful obedience to a generous God; start your stewardship journey with gladness!

A Generosity Assessment can be done with an individual congregation, or a small cohort of congregations. The Presbyterian Church in Canada has compiled more information here.
