Three benefits of online giving for churches:

New givers! That would be reason enough to embrace online giving. But wait, there’s more!

Summer/vacation giving. People can continue to give, even when they don’t attend weekly services. Giving is a spiritual discipline like prayer and ongoing giving strengthens our generosity muscles. Regular giving benefits churches too.

Bigger gifts. This last point is really important - if someone has $40 in their wallet, they may give $20 - saving that second $20 for lunch the next day. Online gifts were $160. Lots of great examples and statistics here from Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
